♌ Leo · July 23 — August 22
Today's horoscope for Leo — October 18, 2026
The Moon is in Capricorn, 8th lunar day, first quarter. The forecast is built from computed planetary positions for October 18, 2026.
Mars and Jupiter are moving through Leo, which puts the focus on your own initiative and visibility. At the same time, the Sun in Libra forms a square to the Moon, so there can be tension between what you want to push forward and what others expect from you.
The Sun also makes a sextile to Jupiter, which supports practical steps and cooperation. The first quarter Moon and the 8th lunar day mark a point where decisions need to be made, but without forcing outcomes. Use the day to organize what is already in motion rather than starting something entirely new.
Love horoscope for Leo today
With Venus retrograde in Scorpio, past or unresolved emotional patterns can surface. Mars and Jupiter in Leo make you more direct, but the Moon-Sun square can create friction if you push too hard. Slow down and listen before reacting.
Money and work
Mars and Jupiter in Leo give you energy to lead and take on visible tasks. The Sun-Jupiter sextile helps you get support from others. The first quarter Moon is good for finishing a stage, not for launching a big new project.
Health and energy
The 8th lunar day and first quarter Moon call for steady effort rather than sudden bursts. Mars in Leo can make you restless, so channel that into routine physical activity. Avoid overexertion and keep a regular pace.
Leo men today
Mars and Jupiter in your sign push you to act boldly, but the Sun-Moon square warns against ignoring feedback. Use the Sun-Jupiter sextile to turn confidence into concrete cooperation. Focus on one clear priority instead of spreading yourself thin.
Leo women today
Venus retrograde in Scorpio asks you to review what you value in close relationships. Mars and Jupiter in Leo highlight your own needs, while the Sun-Moon square shows a gap between personal desires and shared expectations. The 8th lunar day supports honest, quiet reassessment.
Work with the tension between self-assertion and cooperation: take one practical step that others can support, and leave the rest for later.

Leo is the fifth sign (July 23 — August 22), fixed fire ruled by the Sun. Leo’s base rhythm follows the solar one: the season around your birthday (the solar return) is the yearly reset point, and the Sun’s daily aspects show how easy it is to be visible today — to lead, present, take responsibility.
A sign horoscope describes the background for all Leos. What it means for you personally depends on the house your Sun occupies and on the house today’s transit crosses: the same “visibility energy” works in one Leo’s career and another’s creativity or family. The free birth-date calculation shows it in a minute.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a solar return and why does it matter to Leo?
- The moment the Sun returns to the exact degree of your birth — an astrological personal new year. For Leos, ruled by the Sun, it is the strongest personal date of the year.
- Why is the Leo horoscope about “being seen”?
- In astrology the Sun stands for self-expression and recognition. Its aspects show whether the day supports publicity: harmonious ones do; tense ones favour working for results, not applause.
- How accurate is a sign horoscope?
- It honestly describes the shared background but not your personal circumstances: those need a birth time and place, which reveal the house the transit hits for you.
