How to read a horoscope — and why a sign forecast is not a chart forecast

A zodiac-sign horoscope is astrology’s most popular genre — and its most honestly limited one: a single text describes the day for everyone whose Sun sits in the same sign, one twelfth of all people at once. Such a forecast can still be grounded in real sky events: where the Moon is heading, which aspects the sign’s ruler collects, whether a retrograde period begins. That is exactly how the texts in this section are built — from computed planetary positions for the day, week and month, with no “the stars advise” and no promised events.

But the genre has a limit no text can cross: a sign horoscope does not know your chart. The same transit passes through one person’s career house and another’s family house — two different days under the same sky. Houses, the Ascendant and exact aspects can only be computed from a birth date, time and place. That is why every sign forecast here sits next to a personal one: it computes your chart for free and shows where exactly today’s sky lands for you — down to personal dates a month ahead and a name layer based on the Pythagorean table.

Frequently asked questions

How is this horoscope different from a regular one?
The texts are not written “from the head”: every forecast is assembled from computed planetary positions for the day — transits, the ruler’s aspects, the lunar day and phase. We show sky facts, not generic phrases.
When are the horoscopes updated?
Daily ones every night, weekly ones on Mondays, monthly ones on the first day of the month.
Which is more accurate: a sign horoscope or one by birth date?
By birth date. A sign horoscope is one text for everyone with the Sun in that sign. A birth-date forecast computes your personal chart — houses, Ascendant and exact aspects — and ours is free.
Is my name taken into account?
Yes, in the personal forecast: the destiny number from the Pythagorean table, your name planet and its position in your chart. Everything is computed, nothing is invented.
