♍ Virgo · August 23 — September 22
Monthly horoscope for Virgo — October 2026
The forecast is built from computed planetary positions for the period: transits, sign changes, retrogrades — only what actually happens in the sky.
The month begins with Mercury in Scorpio, your ruling planet, forming a square to Mars in Leo and another square to Jupiter in Leo. This configuration emphasizes mental sharpness and the need to manage scattered energy. The Moon in Sagittarius squares your sign, making the day feel tenser than usual, so patience is useful.
As the waxing crescent Moon advances through its 5th lunar day, a steady approach to new initiatives works better than rushing. Later, Mercury stations retrograde, Sun enters Scorpio, Venus enters Libra and then stations retrograde, while Pluto stations direct. These shifts favor review, recalibration, and careful communication.
With several planets retrograde, including Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, the period supports revisiting plans rather than launching new ones. Use the earth-sign stability to stay grounded amid changing conditions.
Love horoscope for Virgo this month
Venus in Scorpio retrograde and later entering Libra highlights past relationship patterns. Mercury square Mars and Jupiter can bring intense conversations. Focus on listening and avoid assumptions. The waxing crescent Moon supports gentle progress, not dramatic moves.
Money and work
Mercury square Mars and Jupiter may scatter your focus. Prioritize tasks and double-check details. With Mercury stationing retrograde, delays or revisions are likely. Use the 5th lunar day energy to start small, practical steps rather than big launches.
Health and energy
The Moon in Sagittarius square your sign can make you feel tense. Keep routines simple. The waxing crescent phase is good for gradual habit changes. With several retrogrades, rest and moderation matter more than pushing through fatigue.
Virgo men this month
For men, the Mercury-Mars square can stir competitiveness or impatience in communication. Channel this into physical activity or problem-solving. Venus retrograde in Scorpio may bring up old relationship dynamics; avoid power struggles. Focus on practical tasks where results are measurable.
Virgo women this month
For women, Venus retrograde in Scorpio and later Libra emphasizes self-worth and relational patterns. The Mercury-Jupiter square can expand worries, so ground yourself in facts. The waxing crescent Moon supports small, consistent self-care steps. Trust your analytical nature over emotional reactions.
Review plans and communications carefully, especially with Mercury retrograde. Use the tense Moon day to slow down and avoid unnecessary conflicts.

Virgo is the sixth sign (August 23 — September 22), mutable earth ruled by Mercury. Unlike airy Gemini, Virgo’s Mercury works “for the earth”: order, analysis, health, debugging processes. So the Virgo forecast watches Mercury’s aspects and retrograde periods most closely — unfinished business returns then, and no sign handles that better than Virgo.
The daily horoscope is a background for all Virgos at once. A personal chart adds the key detail: the house the transit crosses. A generic “tidying-up day” lands in one Virgo’s finances and another’s relationships. The birth-date calculation is free; a birth time adds the Ascendant and houses — the layer that makes a forecast about you rather than your sign.
Frequently asked questions
- How does Virgo’s Mercury differ from Gemini’s?
- By element: in Gemini it is airy — exchange and speed; in Virgo it is earthy — analysis, usefulness and follow-through. Same ruler, different handwriting.
- Is retrograde Mercury a disaster for Virgo?
- The opposite: Virgos ride it more easily than most, because double-checking and reworking is their native mode. It is a revision period in which the sign is strong.
- How do I find the house a transit crosses?
- Only from a personal chart — computed free from your birth date, time and place. The forecast then names houses instead of generalities.
